About me
Hi, my name is Vanessa.
I grew up with a mother who loves buying nice things, holds on to them and lets them pile up every now and then and a father who prefers to own as little as possible and throws things out without asking. When I was younger, my place was often a mess too, and every Saturday I’d spend hours tidying up. It wasn’t until I was an adult that I taught myself to give everything a fixed place and put things back there straight away. Now, even when things do get a little chaotic, I’m sorted again in ten minutes.
I come from a working-class family and was the first to get a university degree (Bachelor’s in European Ethnology and Gender Studies, Master’s in Intercultural Communication Studies). I know what it’s like to navigate between two worlds: the feeling of not quite belonging, of masking who you are so you don’t stand out in academic spaces. That experience, and my commitment to a more inclusive and discrimination-free society, is what led me to work as a diversity facilitator.

How I work
With the professional organizing, I’ve turned my love of creating order into a second career. I love coming up with practical systems and structures, and of course the before-and-after effect. My absolute favourite? Chaotic kitchens.
There is no one-size-fits-all solution here. Your reality is at the centre of everything I do. Working in a discrimination-sensitive way isn’t an add-on for me, it’s a given. With me, you don’t have to hide anything or explain yourself.
My client Tiziana said after we finished organizing her kitchen:
„You understood exactly what I needed without me knowing it myself. You catered to my taste and needs, suggesting new ideas without making me feel my lifestyle and preferences were devalued. Everything looks much calmer and clearer now.“
What I offer
We can declutter and (re)organize your kitchen, pantry, wardrobe, office/workspace, cellar or attic, living area… you name it.
We’ll find new structures and systems that work best for you.
My hourly rate is 79 Euro. The approx. 20 minute call to get to know each other and see if we are a good fit is free.
FAQ
How long does the coaching or organizing take?
I will give you an initial, non-binding assessment during/after a free initial meeting. The duration depends on factors like the size of the room/area, personal wishes, scope of tasks, etc.
Do I have to be present when you are here, or can you tidy things up on your own?
That depends on your goal. I don’t tidy up in the traditional sense, but I can organize and sort everything in the desired area on my own after discussing your wishes and ideas. However, if you want to work on your own tidying behavior and learn how to keep things tidy, you should be present and we’ll do everything together.
I find it hard to part with things. How much do I need to clear out and what happens to my things?
That’s entirely up to you. I won’t force you to do anything, but we’ll look together at what can help you let go. We will also decide together which items can be sold, donated or disposed of.
What about my privacy?
You decide what I can enter and see! With your permission, I can take before-and-after photos/videos as motivation for you and for progress recording. With your written consent, I might also use them anonymously on my website or Instagram.
I'm embarrassed to hire someone to declutter.
You don’t have to be. You can think of it like hiring a cleaner or a handyman to do the work for you.
In the USA, for example, it’s common to hire a professional organizer. My job is to work non-judgmentally, discreetly, and empathetically.
Do I have to tidy up or buy anything before you arrive?
No. You can, if you like, have a vacuum cleaner and a cloth ready (for a quick clean of the cupboards, shelves etc.). If we need products (boxes, hangers, drawer dividers, etc.), we will decide together what makes sense and I will give you suggestions. However, I always try to work with what you already have.
How can I pay?
In cash or by bank transfer. For projects that take longer than a day, I work with partial payments.
What is NOT part of your services?
I do not offer estate clearing, disposal services, cleaning (of course I dust a shelf or similar), furniture removal, sales, furniture assembly or similar. Of course, I can give you a few tips if necessary.
